Most woods will mature into a medium brown/ grey color; however, some species will need a little help from sunshine and rain. The longer you leave the finish on the more it ages. Once your wood has reached the aged look that you are trying to achieve, apply a finish coat to stop it from continuing to age. Silicone-based-wood-sealer stops the Pioneer Wood Products- Patina from maturing any further. Clean-up with water.
